Not only does she know very well how to handle my curly/wavy hair, she is the first stylist to really know how to cut and style my daughter’s very curly hair. She has always been on point when we ask her opinion on whether or not a style or color would look good on us. - 3/5/23Worst experience ever. The stylist waited until she had bleach on my hair and confided to her me she wanted to slash the tires of an ex co worker. Completely oblivious of any type of professionalism. She was crude, abrasive, and crass. She used the F-WORD frequently. Then she gave me chunky highlights when I requested baby lights. Then she burned my head with toner. Then she took the foils out too early leaving my root with an orange stripe. Then she told me that Hair Cuttery uses crappy bleach. She dragged the bleach through my old highlight & burned my ends to a crisp. She got incredibly negative and accusatory and I asked to speak with the manager. The manager wasn’t helpful. Many excuses were made for the stylist. They offered to fix my hair if I returned but I was too scared my tires would get slashed. - 1/20/23I had an appointment with Kate for Wed at 2PM for a cut and color. She texted me on Monday afternoon and said the company's reservation system had screwed up and created a scheduling conflict and told me I'd have to change my appointment to Thursday. She didn't seem to grasp the concept of making an appointment was to allocate a specific date and time in my busy schedule to get this done. I also told her that this was most unprofessional on their part. But here's the best part! An hour before Kate's text I had received a "reminder" text from The Hair Cuttery confirming my appointment. Then to really show how screwed up their system is, I got a text on Thursday informing me that I had "missed my Wednesday appointment" and telling me that I should have called to advise them I wasn't coming. This place has a lot of 1 star reviews recently and I am certain that they have earned every one of them. I would recommend that they simply close this little shop of horrors and send people elsewhere. - 12/30/22Most horrific customer service experience you will never want to encounter!!! I called to schedule an appointment on a Friday evening at 8pm that the stylist said he had available, but never asked what type of haircut we were even wanting he just told us to come at that time. So we arrived with no greeting as he was busy dying a young ladies hair while the other stylist-Jody was blow drying another clients hair Straight. Mind you There is another customer in the store waiting as well who said his appt was at 8:15pm. I looked at the clock and it was already 8:20 and the two stylists didn’t even seem like they wanted to service us, so I asked the male stylist if he knew how long he was going to be since he had two clients waiting past their appointment time and all he said was, “I’m coming now” (dropping the hair dye brush) “what type of haircut was daughter wanting”, I told him long layers and he asked how long was her hair? I told him mid back and he said “yeah no doesn’t look like I’m going to have time” I asked why if he told us to come at 8pm, he said “well I didn’t think that my client was going to have hair LIKE YOU GUYS”…I then asked him “What do you mean like you guys” and he said I don’t know like extremely curly?? I then told him that he didn’t know what type of hair we have and how that comment was very racist, discriminating and very much uncalled for… the OTHER CUSTOMER refused his service and walked out even stating to us “sorry yes that wasn’t called for. I then returned asking for the managers contact info and him and the other stylist didn’t want to give it to me telling me that Kate (store Lead) was the manager. He then said well I apologize and handed me Kate’s business card instead he didn’t even give me his name or card until after I stated I was going to call corporate and inform them about his services.
This was definitely an event that I don’t wish upon anyone coming from a “REGIONAL TRAINING ARTIST” he doesn’t deserve our business nor this company for hiring him. - 2/20/22Horrible customer service company wide. I purchased a gift card in December 2020, went to use it December 2021. They wouldn’t honor it. Gave the worst haircut and talked way too much. Contacted manager, corporate, even filed a BBB report. Never answered. $42 wasted and not returned or honored. - 1/30/22Booked an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early and no one was there. They finally opened up 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment and let me inside. The service I booked was for a brow wax and the machine was cold as I expected and knew I’d need to wait 10-15 minutes for. After I had waited 20 minutes a guy came in who had scheduled a cut and the stylist said I’m going to do his cut first while we wait awhile for the wax to warm more! I said I’ve already been waiting for twenty minutes and I can’t wait any longer. - 9/15/213rd time and last time walking into this location in same month where “we’re all booked no time available”. Empty salon each time prior to 7! What time do you close? “9 but people are coming” doubt it, but good luck. Horrible customer service. In retrospect probably did me a favor…
- 8/10/21Abysmal service. No sense of time management. They turn away any customers that don't make appointments and if you do make an appointment they won't hold to it. I wouldn't have gotten the hair cut if anywhere else was open at the time.
- 8/8/21I made a 1:30 appointment for a shampoo blow dry. Nothing complicated…no cut, no color….my hair is one length and straight. Shoulder length. I requested this appointment for a special occasion I have tomorrow. Again….key words I scheduled an appointment…..I wasn’t a walk in. I waited 30 minutes and the lady who was supposed to do my hair was still blow drying her previous client. So now I have to figure something else out so I can have nice hair for my occasion tomorrow. Needless to say I will NEVER return. I even stood up and another stylist completely ignored me! I’m highly disappointed!!
- 7/23/21Walked in at the right time. Maria was able to fit me in on a busy Saturday. She took her time to ask the right questions as I am not very good at describing how I want my cut. Maria was very professional and definitely knows what she’s doing. I got a New York haircut in Florida and I’ll be back to see her again for my color.
- 7/16/21Horrible horrible horrible customer service. I took my daughter in, they did her hair and OVER CHARGED me. Went in for a refund and had to pay a SECOND time (now in $500), this was a month ago and I'm still waiting on my refund for what they originally and indirectly charged me....$260.......I do not recommend unless you pay in cash and double and triple check everything before you hand over your money. I've been getting the run around from their call center and completely ignored by the manager of the salon.
