- 11/25/22Frustrated. A couple weeks back I had Riah. I have been wearing a hat for 3 weeks. Another time I scheduled with Sabeen. I arrived on time and waited near desk for 15 mins. No one approached me. Finally Sabeen asked if had an appointment and do I have a stylist preference? I told her my appointment was with her. She disagreed until I showed her an appointment confirmation. I ended up leaving. I later made another appointment with Riah. I had to cancel and did this on their site, where you have an option to reschedule. I did reschedule but with Sabeen. I then got a text informing me in part, "If you need to cancel or modify an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice when possible. - 7/27/22I inquired about different services and Anita explained them and the associated costs. Then she told me she had enough time to accomplish highlights! I originally made the appointment for a haircut. - 6/12/22I have been getting my haircut here for awhile and my favorite stylist left, so I had to let someone else do my hair. I was here a few months ago and the person who did my hair at that time I did not care for her attitude and was not completely satisfied with my style, so when I made my appointment this time, I made sure not to make an appointment with her. As I was waiting for the stylist I made the appt with, the person I didn't want doing my hair came to the reception area and got me. I stated " I have an appt with another stylist ". She stated she's sick,so she has to take me. I explained to her what I didn't like the last time she did my hair and want I wanted. I want to keep my length and I want some layers blended in. She completely chopped my hair.I now have to wait for it to grow out,to correct this cut. I am COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED! - 1/18/22I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience was so bad I feel obligated to. I was in earlier today and my stylist was nothing but passive aggressive, rude, and inappropriate. I was so off-put by the service I didn’t care that she didn’t do everything I had asked for, I just wanted to leave. - 9/21/21I have been been going to this Hair Cuttery since the one by my apartment in Merrillville closed. The girl that cut and colored my hair totally messed up my color. I called and was told to come back in a few days and she would fix it. When I went back she no longer worked there....smart move. And that is where the magic started. Claudia said if I could wait about 15 minutes she could fix the mess (formally known as my hot mess hair). Claudia started talking to me like we were already friends and she put me in a way better mood. She fixed the color and the cut and I remember thinking she finished so fast there would no way it could be done...it was. She was (and still is)the best hairstylist I have ever been to. I will not let anyone else touch my hair and she makes sure of that by making my next appointment before I leave. She is the most friendly and caring hairstylist ever. I think she knows what to do with my hair before I do. All the people there are very friendly and joke with each other and honestly that makes me actually look forward to my appointments. Now that I found Claudia I can't even think of going to anyone..ever! I would let her do my hair in an alley if I had to. - 9/13/21I've been a Hair Cuttery customer for a couple of years now, this is due to my Hair Stylist Claudia. It's very difficult to find a hair stylist that will actually listen. However, Claudia actually takes her time to effectively communicate and understands my hair styling needs/preferences. She transforms a vision to a reality. She's extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always very accommodating. Claudia does my highlights and cuts my hair and I am always getting complements on my hair. - 9/13/21I have been going to Hair Cuttery in Crown Point for over 10 yrs and Claudia Alba is my stylist. She does excellent work! She gets my hair color and cut perfect every single time. She is very pleasant and passionate about her job. She is the BEST!!! Hiring her for your company and location was the BEST thing you did!!! - 9/9/21I love going to Hair Cuttery! I have been having Claudia cut/color/perm my hair for years! I would never to go another stylist. I am happy she is still able to do my hair since she got promoted to manager! The staff is always personable and nice. - 9/5/21If I could leave 0 stars I coulld. Claudia answered the phone and said come walk-in. I drove 30 minutes to hear her say in front of me an two other customers including a child “ I hate my Job”. She was ringing out a customer as she says this three times. She asked the person in front of me WHAT! are you here for with attitude?! OK step aside. Then she asked me. We talked on the phone you said to walk in. Claudia replied no we are too busy I don’t have time for it. Make an appointment. I said it is rude for you to say you’re hate your job in front of customers, and I wish you let me know over the phone before I drove here that I needed to make an appointment. She said well you should of I’m to busy! had to get the last word in. I I got nothing but attitude from this woman I will never go here and I suggest no one go here as long as she is working. The worst customer service I’ve seen in a long time. - 8/26/21I have been having my hair done by Claudia for 20 years. Her work is amazing! I leave out feeling like a brand new woman every time. On my last visit I learned she was promoted to manager and I couldn't agree more! She is personable, professional and oh so skilled! - 8/23/21I will have to disagree with these comments regarding the Manager. Claudia is very professional, kind and always greeting every client that comes in, regardless if that is her client. Claudia handles every issue with professionalism and a smile. She has never been rude nor obnoxious, let alone to curse in the salon? These accusations are absurd. Claudia’s professionalism outshines where she makes sure everyone is taken care of and leave satisfied with their services.
Furthermore, if you are unhappy with your service or the manager on duty, attacking them on a website is uncivilized and you can pull that person to the side and let them know your experience. If this is what you truly feel then you should not have a problem confronting the problem at hand, instead of hiding behind a review.
I have referred many of my friends and family to Claudia and no one has had an issue with her. I have been going to Claudia for over 10 years and her service is always the best. - 8/16/21Poor customer service, no one acknowledged me when I walked in. There was one lady who was so loud and laughing obnoxiously. When I asked the girl who was cutting my hair who that was, she told me the manager. How embarrassing and unprofessional.
