- 1/16/23I’ve been going to hair cutters for years. But this most recent haircut was the worst experience ever. The hair stylist, knz, cut the back of my hair shorter than the front, and didn’t tell me about it until the end. The back of the hair was also cut unevenly, and I didn’t realize it until I got home and my family told me about it. She also accidentally put the hair dryer too close to me and turned on high setting, it was so hot that it almost burned my scalp. The weirdest thing was the first cut. I had very long hair. The first cut she did was cutting my hair very short from the back, then she carefully saved all those hair in her drawer. Why did she do that? Did she save it because she wanted to sell my hair? - 8/15/22Nanette was awesome! I was visiting with family and had not been able to see my stylist at my Haircuttery in Florida. Nannette listened to everything I asked for. Some stylists would not take the trouble with someone from out of town, so I was so appreciative. Of course I will be back when I am in town and my daughter was so impressed that I am sure she will be recommending Nanette. Turns out the hair stylist accepted a walk-in knowing full well she had a booked appointment and it would have meant at least another 35-40 minute wait beyond my appt time. - 11/29/21great professional service. It is always busy esp on weekends because no matter if the rating is 2 or 5 all friendly neighbors come to this barbershop. We live in this community and will always choose this as our barber destination. I request them to keep prices low, my whole family comes here as and when needed. I have brought my guest here as well. All hairdressers are great. I have good experience with Rebecca, Angela, Mandi, and Soon. I like this place so much that I seldom pick a stylist. - 7/27/21We have had great haircuts at this salon. Everyone in our family gets haircuts here. I think it's important to find a stylist who works well with you--someone who listens to what you want and checks in with you throughout the process of getting your haircut. We have had great experiences with Jong, who is outstanding. She is truly a master stylist. She listens and gives me an expert cut EVERY time. We have also had great cuts from Van, Sang, and Soon. I cannot speak about the other stylists, but I recommend any of the stylists we have had. I recognize that the Hair Cuttery is a bargain salon, but it is possible to get expert service and a cut that rivals any you'd get at a higher-priced shop. In fact, I always tip the stylist 20% of the price I'd pay at a more expensive barbershop. The hairstylists always, in my experience, deserve the higher tip. We have been very pleased with our experience at this shop. Note: I see some low ratings mentioning Sang. - 6/19/21I have been using this Hair Cuttery since it opened. I have been exceedingly happy with my customer service and hair treatments. Over the years I have had about every stylist in this shop. All have put in time and expertise giving me what i asked for each time. On one occasion, I asked for a shorter hair cut than I normally get. I went home and wanted it cut shorter... I went back and it was re-cut at no extra charge. Angela is my favorite stylist and I have recommended her to about everyone I know. I go out of my way to use this Hair Cuttery because of the people and the service. My usual salon service is cut, color and highlights. - 11/29/19Went to have roots redone. 1st Stylist didnt get color right. Went back the next day to have roots redone again. Sang/Sam was so mad and complained the whole time making me feel terrible and told me "Guess I wont make anything on this job." Then the manager told me "Save your money because you get what you pay for." OMG the manager threw all the stylist there under the bus. But meanwhile Sang/Sam SHOULD have told me to wait a few days before coloring again but no being the Master Sylist she is she colored my roots again and burned all the top of my hair. Now I look like a real freak show. Its all about the money not about customer service. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
