- 10/23/23I came in as usual to get my hair cut. It was a short wait to be seated. As soon as I sat down I was asked how I would like my hair cut. I said the usual, 0 on the sides faded and about a inch offbthe top. She informed me that every stylist that has ever cut my hair charged me the wrong price, it would be an additional $10.00 above a regular $25.00 mens haircut. I said it's always been the regular mens haircut price. She got a bit snippy with me and repeated her previous statement with attitude. I said no thank you and left. I went across the street to clips & cutz and got a great haircut. I asked if they offer Veterans discounts. She said absolutely with a smile on her face. My haircut with a $5.00 tip was $19.00. I will never step foot in Hair Cuttery again. Please understand I have gone to this Hair Cuttery for 10 years. Its just a couple miles from my home. It wasn't the price of the hair cut. - 8/29/23I have been a client for several years and today I experienced something (for the second time) where a young child comes in for a haircut and cries and screams at the top of its lungs while other clients are expected to accept it. I'm 67 with two recent joint replacements and two to go and I have sensitive hearing as an older person. The child was being taken care of by my stylist while my partial foils bleached and I said I was moving to the back of the salon by the hair dryers. Even back there the sound of the crying and screaming could still be heard. If I didn't have foils in my hair I would have left then. I asked a stylist if there was a quieter place I could wait and she said yes the bathroom. So I sat in the bathroom and at one point someone came in and said the crying child left the salon. And I could come back out and be comfortable as a human being. So if you are going to put an elderly disabled long term client in a *bathroom* to wait for 2-4 year old child that is your choice. The shop at 9235 B.N.P. is always clean and friendly. My stylist, Jenny, a has been cutting my hair for 15 years. When I came to her initially, my hair was thick and attractive but during our time together, age and Chemo have taken their toll, so I guess we have been together through "thick and thin".😉 Jenny has encouraged me through this "thin" time and I am grateful to her. I am moving to another area and if I could, I'd take Jenny with me. I hope that you realize what an asset Jenny is and how excellently she represents Hair Cuttery. - 9/27/22I got my hair cut 2 weeks ago with Anita in Ellicott city location.these time she didn’t cut nice and feels like she rush to let me out and try to get next customer after me . She cut very bad that I went to other haircuttery in an Arundale mill. Location and Vanna is the one she have to fix my hair cut again . I made appointment and still she didn’t want to spend time I told her I need hairdry and she told me she book me only for hair cut.. I don’t know why but with in a week I have to get haircut again was not a good service I think .. I got very disappointed with Anita these time ..

- 7/14/22Horrible , Ellie the stylist told me that was her name. Very rude and not professional at all. I arrived with my 89 year old mother. Ellie said your appointment only for haircut. I said no wash and blow dry and hair cut. Ellie stated rudely no you only made appointment for hair cut. And demand my told me when I made appointment over phone with her I only said haircut not wash and blow dry. Well we continued to disagree and I stated that there was a communication issue her and I will apologize for the communication issue. Ellie never apologize after I told her it took 1 hour for me to get my 89 year old mom out house to this appointment. I understood her slot said haircut, that was not the issue here. The issue is that Ellie never accepted responsibility. I did remind her that when I we initially were speaking on phone she thought I said 8 years old, than I had to repeat that I said my mom is 89, not 9. She laughed and said so sorry. My point is if she made mistake with the age, you probably made a mistake with what type of service I requested. Just except mistakes happen and keep it moving. Ellie was unbelievable rude, by walking away from me when we both were speaking and I even apologized for the miscommunication. I tend to have crazy wild hair especially when it has not been cut in a while, what's left of it...when I leave the place my head feels so calm and in order.
I ended up finding Jenny when Haejin left, Jenny is a pro, I know because, she's always in demand, sometimes its hard to get an appointment, I called her today and she skipped lunch to accommodate my last minute schedule...who does this?
