Will not be returning. To start, my hair dresser was late to the appointment. (Life happens, so I let this one go). She begins washing my hair and starts openly and loudly talking about how damaged my hair is. As a client, I would like my hair to be healthy and learn hair techniques but not at the cost of feeling embarrassed. Although I am fully vaccinated, my mask is always on whenever I leave my house because I live with my grandmother- so, naturally I wore my mask into the salon. While blow drying my hair, the hairdresser took off my mask “because I needed to” for her to blow dry my hair? She did not even ask. She also told me to bend my neck all the way downwards in order for her to dry the back of my hair? She then proceeded to cut my hair and while doing so, literally cut the corner of my eye and replied “sorry baby”. I was so shocked. Ive never been to a salon where a professional hair dresser is that reckless. Afterwards, she went on about how I need to come to a professional hairdresser like her to prevent my hair from being damaged. Continuing the irony, without heat protectant, she starts straightening my hair and goes over each strand a minimum of 3-4 times. She also told me to bend my ear over so she wouldn’t burn it? Not sure if a client should even be remotely worried that their “professional” hair dresser might burn them. Then, after straightening my hair, she wanted to try a different technique so there she goes again over my already “damaged” hair with more heat & no heat protectant. She also used the same sharp scissors that cut my eye to thin my hair, practically shredding off the cuticle and healthy protection from my hair strands. My hair has been so thick my entire life, and now it is so unbelievably thin. The ends of my hair are dry and crisp, and even more damaged than when I walked in. I tried to remain calm during my visit out of politeness, but I can not believe what I went through during my appointment. I do not need any reimbursement but seriously train your staff correctly. You’re running a business, not a trial and error facility
