- 12/28/22I had Melissa and she was very nice and was happy with my wash and trim. The only thing I was sort of upset about was the price I went online and it told me that it was $30 bucks for my haircut just a wash and trim and she told me my total was $55 and my heart dropped I felt like I was taken advantage of because of how young I was. I also asked to cut and inch off and she cut way too much off my hair. I was not to pleased with the way it turned out. - 10/30/22I visited this salon on 10/3/22 and got a haircut that was the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life and she didn't even acknowledge me while she was busily very scissor happy. Most stylist are careful when they cut hair and my hair is so uneven and so short in other places that I have to wait awhile before I attempt to get a permanent in my hair. This woman who they hired to cut hair should really be known as a horrible hairdresser as evidently she doesn't know how to cut hair and she used the scissors without hesitation like I was just a body in the chair and again I say she must not know how to cut hair as I can't even put a rod in places that are so short and other places too long. - 10/4/22I came to this salon to get my hair done for MY WEDDING. i asked for a very dark brown almost black base with medium thickness caramel highlights and the same color money piece touched up in the front for a fall look. my brown is still pretty medium (same color i had coming in) and my highlights are very thin as you can barely see them. my money piece is very orange toned not caramel. my wedding is 8 days away and they will not refund my money back even though i explained i was unhappy with the service. i now have to come out of pocket a few more hundred dollars for someone else to fix what they have done. i also asked the girl to put waves in my hair to try to make it look better when she was done and she let me leave with half dried hair instead because she wanted to go home. 0/10. would not recommend coming here.Response from HairCuttery • 10/4/22Brit D, thank you for your feedback. - 9/28/22I had a horrible experience. I made an appointment and asked for a trim. The shop was filthy. A lot of hair and trash laid around and the counter tops cluttered and unkempt. My gut said to leave but I told myself it’s okay. She washed my hair and trimmed very little off the ends, not what I asked for. The entire time the stylists were badmouthing and gossiping about other clients. She never made eye contact or greeted me. When she was finished she took my apron off and ushered to the front. I was not shown the back or discussed what I thought of it. I took it as a sign to just leave. She urged me to tip at the counter and I did 20%. I strongly do not recommend this salon. - 2/12/22Came in for a trim. I could've just taken a child's pair of scissors and done it myself blind-folded and I still would have ended with a better cut. Stylist made absolutely no effort. - 8/13/21Carrie. I’ve been going to her for yrs but last wk is my last time. Be ware of all her hidden charges. $10 for something I didn’t agree to during shampoo, 15 for shoulder length hair (I have short hair) and of course her prices are higher that Hair Cuttery stated prices. Her cuts have gotten mediocre at best and your cut takes 5 min. Your itemized bill is given after you pay. Take the time and read it before leaving. I waited for about 15 minutes and not one employee spoke a word to me. Eventually they all just walked into the back room and disappeared. There was even one lady stocking selves and she couldn’t even take the time to address me. This is the second time Hair Cuttery treated me like this. The last time was about two months ago down route two near Harris Teeter. I waited for about 30 minutes before I decided to walk out.
