    I went to the Millville location yesterday. I’ll start by saying my hair dresser was about 75 years old, which would be fine if she didn’t tell me she can’t see due to cataract surgery. I scheduled for a partial foil not realizing that wasn’t roots. They made me feel so stupid for scheduling something other than what I wanted. I explained that I needed my roots along with a few extra highlights to make my hair blonder. They brought me a book to pick a color, and each blonde I chose the older lady kept telling me it was white and I’d look like an old lady (like her was her exact words) and told me to keep picking a different color. I told her I want my hair MORE blonde. She assured me that it would be. After she was done I was so upset that I didn’t even stay for the cut and style. My hair roots are still clearly not done , as she left a huge gap from the root to where she actually applied the bleach, and she made my hair DARKER. It is literally the exact opposite of what I asked for. I spent $115, and am going to have to get it redone. Money is tight right now, as I’m sure it is with everyone, and this just broke my heart. I wanted to treat myself for a change and just moved to the area. I have never had such a bad experience at a hair salon. To get the exact opposite of what I asked for (more than once explained I wanted MORE blonde) and then still be expected to pay for what I did not want. So basically, worst experience ever. I’m literally disgusted with the way my hair turned out.

    I used to come here on several different occasions and Never had any issues. However, my last visit here was bad. The person, Latoya, who did my hair, did not do a good job at all. She talked very professionally as if she knew what she was doing, but only to be disappointed by the lack of what she ACTUALLY knew. They need to bring back the ones who were there before. Such a waste of money and time and damage done to my hair. I actually had to go to Sally’s to fix the mess she had done. And to make things worse…..my mom also had an appointment today for her hair, and what a surprise!!! It was a mess. The same person who did my hair, had done my moms hair. She actually went back and told them she didn’t like it and they died it back to black instead of my mom getting the style and color she wanted. I will now never come back for my hair or my moms hair. Such a waste and disappointment!!!!!

    My rating was a 5 up until the end of November 2021. Unfortunately, My awesome hairdresser resigned in November 2021. She was great. I always had an evening appointment and she was very accommodating. I can only come during the week AFTER work. We need to work to pay for these types of luxuries. I tried to schedule with a new person and I was told that they do not take anyone after 5:00PM because they close at 6:00PM. REALLY?? How do you stay in business. Your weekends are BOOKED. It would be nice if Hair Cuttery would go back to their normal hours. The short staffed excuse is getting old. Sorry for the negativity but i was left to search for another place after going the Hair Cuttery for over 10 years. It is upsetting.

    Made an appointment on-line for 10 am, when I arrived there were no customers that I could see. Woman behind desk told me that the person I selected called in sick, I did not select anyone. And her and the other hairdresser could not do my hair, they were too busy, again saw no customers there, but I could come back at 3: 30 if I wanted to. I asked couldn’t they have called me, she responded I just saw the appointment. While she apologized it was not sincere. This is the second time I used the on-line appointment both times it seemed they didn’t even look at it and are surprised when I showed up.

    Was denied service as a walk in. All chairs were empty and staff was outside smoking. After this was was discussed with management, the woman blamed it on Covid and said there needs to be an appointment.

    I was able to get an appointment before you closed because of covid-19, however while there my stylist (Trella was the name on the receipt) seemed to be rushing as she mentioned to me they were working understaffed and she wanted to make sure she left on time.
    I gave her the picture of how I wanted my hair, she said no problem basically the same with bangs, and I agreed. Well she cut more than an inch off and my hair was down to my collar bone before, then when she asked for the 3rd time if I wanted blow dry I had to remind her of the bangs, so she added them and said she’d dry my hair curly.
    I don’t know where she saw curls but I saw NONE, and when I got home was when I was able to see how much she chopped off my hair and the weird angles she added.
    The whole time she was doing my hair she was talking about how she wasn’t going to stay late and she had to get home and make lunch for her husband, and how much her feet hurt and how tired she was. She was just completely unprofessional, had NO idea what she was doing and was only concerned with leaving!
    I have NO idea how they will be able to fix this but am completely upset I’m stuck with my hair being this messed up until whenever they can open again.

    I always come to this place to get my hair done. This time I recommended my daughter to come here and her stylist cynthia didnt complete the job .. my daughter hair still looks the same when she showed cynthia a picture of the color she wanted. Shame on this place. I will never come back or recommend.

    Tamika, Roslynn, and Patty are absolutely amazing. There’s not a name I can think of that can describe them. They are a blessing for me and to my family. I brought my Egyptian mother in law into the salon. It took a lot of “No” but she finally let me bring her in. Her religion is Muslim. She follows it 120%. I kindly asked the staff if there is a male customer that enters the salon if they can let us know so we can cover her hair up because in the religion a man that isn’t her husband cannot see her hair at all. With this terrific staff they did everything so no man can see my mother in law. Some people might not be so understanding as others but the experience over all was excellent. I would like to recommend if a curtain or something that can separate a man from being able to see a religious woman for the ones that follow their religion strongly. Maybe it would comfort so many others and they would actually want to come to this salon because it will be a place where they can be themselves instead of worrying if they are being seen or not.     Horrible! My 9 year old asked for neon blue hair and she got lime green because the senior stylist was too lazy or did not know to lighten her hair. Then the manager got argumentative the next day. Novice mistakes by a no customer service team.

    Three hours for the worst hair cut of my life. Unfortunately once it started, it was pretty much a hostage situation and I couldn't leave. The stylist was in her own words, "depressed and desperate for a client" She told me so much in-depth information about her mental health struggles I felt like I had to pretend to love the cut. A customer shouldn't feel that responsibility for a stylist's well-being. Stay far away unless you plan on being charged to leave a salon with mild PTSD.

    Came in for a cut then I decided I would get a color also. I was told that it was going to be $83. When all was said and done I go to pay and they tack on 2 long hair charges!! Really?! Why would you tell your customer one thing and then charge them $40 more than you originally told them it would be. And before she gave me this price she looked at my hair so she knew how long it was! Needless to say I will not be going back. $20 extra to cut long hair....what a scam!
