- 9/5/22I arrived 25 minutes before closing time for a simple child's cut with clippers and was told they were in the process of already closing. The door was unlocked and the open sign was still on, as well as the hours on the internet were listed as they were open for an additional half hour, yet I was still denied service. Lazy. Will never return. If you're not going to work till a certain time, do not list your hours as open at that time. It's very simple. Regardless of whether there was a half hour left or not, they still include that in their hours of operation. You are supposed to serve customers up until the hour of closing but you would rather be lazy so that you can leave at the time that you're actually supposed to close. - 11/10/21The Hair Cuttery near me closed down. My wife went to this one today. Got a great cut and color but had a bad experience with the so called manager/master colorist. Charged 108ish but told next visit price will be higher. (180.00) because she's the manager and a master colorist. Why the major price increase? NO answer just will be. Before this was revealed my wife asked how much for a men's cut. She said 22.00 I wonder if it will be 66.00 if you go back a second time. Obviously my wife will not go back and I certainly won't con artist manager. - 11/10/21I needed a new salon because Fantastic Sams closed(I miss Kathy). I need to contact the owner of this location on route 38 for Hair Cuttery. I called and went to Hair Cuttery to Erin Neives for a partial highlight, cut and blowdry. I was quoted it would be $106.00 with the Olaplex so I proceeded. I paid $106.00 and tipped and made another appointment for January. Erin says to me, fyi the service will now be $139.00 plus additional $20.00 for the Olaplex because I am the manager and a master stylist. Totally turned me off and will never go back to this location again. I would understand if on my first service I was quoted the $160.00 cost but they charged me less and then she raised it approximately $54.00 for the same service? If she is the manager and master stylist, why didn't she charge me the higher price originally? I can only assume she did not want me coming back as a customer. I questioned this when I was there and that was the reasoning I received. It did not make sense to me and since I rarely complain, this was hard for me to post but I do not appreciate the moral of this story! Need the owner to reach out. I will not complain about how my hair looks though but the integrity was not right. This "manager" lost my business. She gave me a "by the way"....it was not presented as a special either . - 11/2/21Nicole has been doing my hair for years and is the only one brave enough to tackle the wild stuff I want to achieve with my style. Did she tell you about her success in lifting the 10+ years of henna out of my hair? You should - she’s an expert. Anyway - most recently I had pretty standard cut with her, which two other stylists could not figure out how to interpret and execute. - 11/11/20Received a horrible haircut from Sharon Thomasson (Senior Designer) at the Larchmont location. She did the exact opposite of what I asked for. I have...or should I say “HAD” long, straight hair, one length and requested a simple 1 inch trim, straight across. I specifically said No layers, I want to keep it long, all one length. I looked her in the eyes and made this very specific request. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. She couldn’t even part my hair in a straight line. After an hour of her struggling, I looked on the floor. She cut off over 4 inches of hair, added layers and made it completely crooked in the back. I was horrified! She charged me $8.00 because of the horrible job she did, and I was in such shock - I actually paid her! I got home and my family just stared in disbelief at what she did. Do not go to this woman if you have straight, one length hair. She does not know how to cut a simple, straight line. Learn from my mistake, and go somewhere else.

- 12/3/18So glad I took a chance and went here. I was a first time, walk-in customer and had NO IDEA who to ask for. I was lucky to be greeted by Natalie. I explained my situation to her; that I had received a bad (lop-sided) haircut at a different salon and needed it fixed. I have long poker-straight hair, and any mistake is very obvious. Natalie was so nice, and she assured me she could fix it. I was very nervous and her kindness put me immediately at ease. She corrected the crooked cut and did a perfect line on my straight hair. When I returned home, both my husband and niece remarked at how great it looked. It now looks gorgeous! So happy with the result - I highly recommend asking for Natalie!
