During my visit this past weekend, I was caught VERY off guard by the gentleman who preformed my service for many reasons. He was very absent during my consultation as we had to have the same conversation two additional times before he got started on my cut. This stylist was unpleasant to hold a conversation with and was actually insulting at times. Finally I informed him that I am a licensed hair stylist as well (I do not always broadcast this when I am in another stylists chair due to the fact that some might would feel intimidated or judged by their every move and I don't want that). Fast forward to the end of the visit, I am at the register paying and my total is $23, which shouldn't have been that much because when I checked in with another stylist she asked what I wanted done and I stated a wash and cut, NO blow-dry. Anyways, I gave $40 cash and my wonderful stylist walked away without giving me my $17 in change. As a previous salon manager for 6 years, I have dealt with many stylists and their individual personalities. This stylist needs some major coaching especially on his customer service skills.
