- 10/24/23I was nervous, I panicked and downplayed the unruly nature of my hair when I booked an appointment. I didn't want to scare them! I was ready to walk out with a pixie cut if it went wrong. I have odd hair, tight curl, loose curl, wavy and straight with uncontrollable dry frizz. I didn't bring pics of what I wanted because I couldn't find hair like mine. Went in with brief description, remove bulk, not flat, lots of layers, cut anything that will enhance my natural hair, wash and go, nothing super model! I was sure this was a long list of impossible requests. My stylist, Chelsea, was amazing. She did everything right. She worked with me until I was happy. She cut my hair dry! She compensated for straight, wavy, curly hair! I have knotty hair, so a dry cut was not easy task. I loved the cut at the initial look. My hair combs into a very smooth, loose movement of a wave, but reverts into a 1980's home perm gone awry if exposed to humidity. Chelsea gave me a cut that looks exactly like I wanted for every phase my hair goes through due to weather related curl reversion. I am more than impressed with the cut! I have never said that. I have not had a professional hair cut in 30 years. My hair was a diy hot mess when I walked through the door. She offered me some magic cream for my hair called, Curvaceous. SOLD! This stuff unlocked smooth curls and combable hair without feeling greasy or like Elmer's glue! Wonderful experience! Chelsea helped me love my hair! I have never experienced that, ever! She is exactly what you want in a stylist! I wish I could have afforded a bigger tip, she earned it graciously! Usually, I leave a haircut appointment crying with a woman chasing me with a round brush and a hair dryer yelling at me that I need to train my hair, no lie. This experience was the polar opposite. Chelsea is the only person I will ever let cut my hair. I have never had someone cut my hair the way my hair needed until Chelsea! I didn't think I would ever find a personalized, compassionate, natural hair care provider, and a price I can afford!!! I wish we could add before after pics because what Chelsea did for my hair is an unsolicited, miracle!
- 9/12/23Wanted to do something different out of my comfort zone for my 35th bday wanted an undercut i went and got it done it was choppy and thick and so uneven that I paid left and had to go somewhere else to get it fixed the person who did my hair was the only one there and she said she’s only been cutting hair for a year and it shows. Hair Cuttery Team - 5/4/23I wish I had read the reviews before I went to get my hair cut. I had long hair and asked for a simple one length cut. My hair on one side of my head is a good solid inch longer than the other side as well as quite a few chunks of my hair were left way longer than the others. I left with my hair wet and couldn’t notice the mistakes or else I would have asked for her to fix it. I don’t remember her name, but she had like blue/green hair. Very disappointing and I will not be returning. I also had to go pay another person to fix all of her mistakes. I was there in March. I got a horrible hair trim. I was told that I will get a call from the manager. It never happened, I had to reach out to the salon multiple times and still nothing!!! Hair Cuttery Team - 3/15/23I was there two days ago, i have a long hair and I asked for a little trim. Yesterday when I was getting ready for work I wash brushing my hair in the mirror and I realized that my hair on the left side is at least 3 inches longer then the other side. You can definitely see the difference. My birthday dinner is tomorrow and I have to attend with this crazy look. I have a 5 months old, I cannot just running around and get it fixed somewhere else. I am really disappointed!!!! I paid $37 dollars for this service and I even left $7 for the tip.
A year ago when I was at this salon, the hairdresser was by himself and he left me every two minutes to answer on the phone. Hair Cuttery Team - 8/6/22This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star! Had an appointment, got there an hour early and 15 mins AFTER my appointment time get told would either have to have stylist in training do the cut or need to reschedule for a later time because who we booked with was running late and had another person waiting who’s appointment was AFTER our appointment.
