Hair Cuttery Team - 2/5/23I highly recommend Yen! I have been going to her because she always gives the perfect haircut and blowout! My friends were impressed with my look and now they go to Yen too. She's also very personable and friendly, making the whole experience fun and enjoyable. I have tried other salons around where I live for years but once I found Yen, I don't mind driving 30-40 min to get to her. Hair Cuttery team. - 9/7/22I will not be going back to the seven corners shop because I got a perm last Friday and my hair looked all full it was like bushey. The stylist didn’t list to me. I had go back to the shop yesterday and had to have it shampoo and blow dry I was charged $23.00 dollars. To have it fixed. Hair cuttery team. - 4/3/22It's strange that Hair Cuttery asks for name and phone number, and I'm surprised anyone would truthfully give either. I come in to get a hair cut and leave. I'm not there to make friends or give you personal information. Radio Shack used this model in the 1970s and 80s, requiring your mailing address before purchasing anything. Hair Cuttery Team. - 3/12/22My family has been going here since the Ballston location closed. I’ve used many of the stylists throughout the years. I have never felt so uncomfortable and upset after our experience today. Due to the pandemic, we have been signing up in advance choosing the services and booking times etc. , but today, I’ve never felt more upset. I booked a coloring service. I felt the stylist wouldn’t listen and kept trying to upsell to get to “her fee” it was horrible. I would have walked out, but both my kids were already in the chairs. It got to the point I stopped talking, since I didn’t want to argue with someone who clearly wouldn’t listen or refer to my booking. My 11 years old hair was completely chopped off when she asked for just an inch, 8 inches were taken off. Hair cuttery team. - 12/8/21Overall, the craftsmanship and convenience of the haircut was good. I got exactly what I wanted and was seen almost immediately with no appointment. My only complaints are in regards to the ambiguous menu and pricing versus services rendered. I asked for a 4 on the sides with clippers, and to use scissors on top to trim/blend it. When asked if I wanted a shampoo, I denied the service. In the end, I paid $23 which is the price of the 'Signature Cut', when I believe I should have only paid $17 for the 'Buzz Cut'. I didn't get a traditional buzz cut, which typically consists of one size all around, but I also ended up paying for a service (the shampoo and conditioning) that I denied. If I knew I would still be charged the same price regardless if I declined or not, I would have accepted the service. Clients should be informed that they are paying the full price no matter what. Barber shops offer a straight razor neckline shave and alcohol towel wipe down included with the haircut for cheaper. Hair Cuttery Team. - 12/5/21Overall, haircut was nice, quick service and good craftsmanship. However, the pricing and menu seem a bit ambiguous, as I got clippers on the sides and back (all one length) and scissors on top to trim it up and make it blend correctly. I did not receive a shampoo or conditioning, yet was charged $23 for the 'Signature Cut'. I didn't realize I'd still be charged for a service that I did not receive, as I believe I should have been charged $17 for the 'buzz cut'. I wouldn't have turned down the shampoo and conditioning if I knew I'd still be charged at the higher rate regardless. It's a pretty steep price for just a regular haircut, especially when I can go down the road to a barber shop and get a straight razor shave to the back of my neck and alcohol towel wipe down after--all of which are not offered at Hair Cuttery--for several dollars less. Hair Cuttery Team. - 11/27/21I walked in an asked the manager if she knew how to color natural black hair and she said yes. She showed me one client she did that was close to my hair type. I agreed. What a disaster!!!! If I could upload the pictures of the results it would be a top meme on the internet. All I can say I was the fool!!!! - 8/19/21Very disappointed. I had an appointment this Saturday with a stylist I had use once before and liked. When I arrived on time, they told me she was too busy and I would be seen by the available stylist. I protested to no avail and they assured me that my new stylist was “great”. Not only did she do a terrible job with my color - my highlights look very uneven and unprofessional - but she messed up the toner and I walked out with really damaged hair and 250 out of pocket. I am quite distraught, most of all by the very damaged state of my hair. It will take some expensive restorative products and years of time to fix the nightmare of an afternoon here. Definitely do not recommend.
- 7/25/21The stylist don’t follow what you want. When you have to repeat yourself they take it offensively and change the treatment. I had a work meeting on Tuesday and came in to get a haircut.
