- 9/7/23Wow. Where do I start? I made an appointment to take my Mother to have her hair cut. Her hair is already short; she didn’t need anything fancy done to it. The “stylist” asked which one of us was getting our hair done and I said it would be my Mother (she’s 71). He looked at me right in my face and said “I’m sorry but I’m new and I don’t feel comfortable doing old people’s hair.” Excuse me? No where on your website or your signage does it say you only do hair for people under a certain age. How do you think it is okay to discriminate against my Mother because of her age? She and her husband just lost their home in SC and have temporarily come to live with us, she is very distressed, and I tried to take her to get her hair done to make her feel better. Then for her to be told basically she’s too old to even deserve to have her hair cut. This place should be shut down. The other stylist, who just finished an elderly lady’s hair, just stood there and let him say this to my Mom without a word. He made an appointment at the Hair Cuttery down the street “with someone who is good with hair like hers” so that we could still get her hair done. Had I not driven 45 minutes to get her hair done I would not have given this company one red cent. Luckily, the ladies at the South Point salon were fabulous and handled this situation for us. But you should know, this is a slippery slope treating my Mom like this, and I’m seriously considering my options on how we should proceed with this blatant discrimination.

Hair Cuttery Team - 4/26/22Wow where to start! Make an appointment online. Book a value all over high light plus color. Was told 138.00. Went to my appt. Super excited. Got in chair discussed my hair. Decided it didn’t need all over color just high lights all over. As The stylist went to mix my color she said it would be 202.00!! I had to ask why the 64.00 dollar difference. I was told because she had to charge me a long hair charge. I explained that it wasn’t mention any where on their online site. The hairdresser said I’ve told my manager and that I should talk to the manager. If I wanted to cut my hair short or only high light the top she could do it cheaper. What she should have done is honor the price. They didn’t and I left with my hair not done…I did get a email cancelling my appt. Hair Cuttery Team - 4/24/22My stylist was pleasant. I was very excited to be getting my hair highlighted. I book online and was told it would be 138.00. When I got there we discussed my hair. We would do all over highlights. No all over hair coloring which I should mention was part of my value pack. The hair stylist says to me it will be 202.00. I take a moment to think and ask her about the 138. She’s says there a upcharge for long hair. I explain this was not advertised when I book. She said I have told my manager to add it. We discussed cutting my hair to lower price etc. I feel like I shouldn’t have to get less high lights are cut my hair. They should have honored my price. Hair Cuttery Team - 3/29/22Had a bad experience with Sara this morning. I showed her a picture of the hair cut I wanted. What she did looked nothing like the picture. She gave me a Bob hair cut and I hate it. Way to short. The pic showed shoulder length hair. Do not recommend. My first time at this location and the last. Hair Cuttery Team. - 3/27/22I scheduled my appointment for 3 pm today, yesterday. I arrive to find my appointment was cancelled for full foil. The associate suggested I complain to management.. as if that’s going to do anything for my situation now. I do not want a generic we apologize response back because you don’t care. Hair Cuttery Team. - 1/28/22I had a horrible experience this past week at Hair Cuttery. I went in wanting a partial highlight to touch up my roots before I went on vacation. When I came in asked the lady at the desk if there was someone that was good at highlights and seasoned as I wanted to make sure someone with experience could do my hair. She (Lydia) said she was going to take me. I explained to her how my hair is platinum blonde (white) and I wanted to ensure that my highlights would not be yellow or orange. She foiled my whole head and when taking them out she decided to tone my hair. After the toner came out my head was purple from the toner. Not only did she tone the hair she dyed, She toned my whole head changing my original hair color. She then washed and washed my hair getting some of the toner out and decided to re bleach my hair again. After 6 hours in the chair, 2 foiled bleaches on my head, she washes it again and my hair was reddish orange!! I was sooo upset. It was now 10:30 at night (they close at 9). I literally came in with better hair than I came out with. Not to mention. I PAID $300!!! I actually got charged for this!
I could not sleep that night so first thing in the morning I called and spoke with the assistant manager (Sara) and she told me I could come in and she would Fix my hair. She was very sweet in trying to do so. I was appreciative of her taking the time to fix what was done. She agreed my hair was not done properly and she ruined the color of my hair. However, another 5 hours in the chair and another bleach foil it still did not work. I literally cried, I was so upset. She tried her best but as she said it was hard correcting what was done completely. I literally spent $300 on my hair, had to sit in a chair for 11 hours total, had to call out of work to get it fixed and on top of that I’m still going to have to go somewhere else to fix my hair. I cannot believe I was charged for this service!! I am beyond upset that I spent all this money for me to have to go somewhere else that can fix what they messed up and pay again. This is completely unacceptable. I’ve literally been coming to Hair Cuttery for the past 5 years! I will not do it again!!

- 6/11/21I walked in a complete mess. I left another place with my hair a complete mess. I was in tears. Receptionist was Amazing. Renee fixed my hair BEAUTIFULLY! - 6/9/19If you are looking for a miltary cut, or skin fade, this is not the place. 20.00 for a cut that looks like your buddy did it blindfolded. Medium skin fade was round all the way to the top. And a quarter inch off the top means 3 quarters of an inch I guess.
- 3/9/19Horrible. Do not use Savannah P. Spent 5 minutes on my sons hair, didn’t ask if he wanted washed, only trimmed the back of his hair and it was uneven, didn’t clean up the hair on his neck, sideburns or trim the top as requested. He looked worse leaving than he did coming in. When questioned she didn’t show any card. Quickly left and headed to a nearby Halrcittery and they did a fabulous job!
- 1/9/19I got my hair done by Kayla yesterday, and it was amazing! I wish I could post a picture because she did a great bayalage. She was very sweet, and I had a great time talking to her.
- 3/6/18My son and I walked in on Sunday to get wash cut and blow dry. I was shocked at the way the staff argued over who would be willing to give us cut. My son ended up having a cut and though a good one, the obnoxious behavior of the staff turned me off.
