Hair Cuttery team. - 11/10/22I wanted to take the time to praise one of your exceptional stylist, Clarice. I visited the salon twice this week and both times walked out extremely satisfied. My son had his hair cut on Tuesday afternoon, he has very thick hair with a few cowlicks and Clarice made sure she took excellent care of him. He was so happy with his cut. That doesn’t happen often so for him to be so satisfied means so much to me. Today I was visiting the salon to have my hair colored, it turned out beautifully! Clarice is an asset to your company, you should be proud to have her! Hair Cuttery Team. - 9/11/22I should’ve walked back out as soon as experiencing the totally unwelcoming atmosphere here! It went downhill from there! CHYNA The stylist asked what are we doing today? I said shampoo blow out pretty basic. There was no more conversation until the service was finished and I went up to pay. I’ve had much better shampoos from first semester beauty school students! I’m not even sure the right side of my head even got wet! Oh well… The blowout was passable but my hair was still wet underneath And certainly did not look like it was done by a professional… I’m not sure it was! oh well… It was clean and looked better than when I came in! At the counter CHYNA announced the cost would be $30. I thought OK I’ve wasted more money than that in my life! I had no intention of coming back pretty much from walking in the door! But I paid with my credit card and handed CHYN a a six dollar tip, just because that’s what I do! Went and sat down to wait for my ride looked at the receipt and the classic blowout was listed at $23… And there was a seven dollar charge for a bang trim with no shampoo! The price was not the problem! I went back and interrupted CHYNA doing whatever on the cell phone… Asked about it and was told that the classic blowout does not include the shampoo! Now the website clearly states a classic blowout is shampoo conditioner with brush styling… Meaning the blowout! I said so I need to come in shampooed and pay $23 for a blowout! CHYNA said yes. I was so over this place I just replied ridiculous! Which it is… I see on the reviews this person has been there a while so it’s not like they just finished beauty school and are getting a chance ! Please read the rest of the reviews for you even think of going here! And I should’ve walked out the door when my stylus CHYNA could not have been less friendly and obvious that they did not want to do my shampoo blowout! Absolutely no customer friendly atmosphere here! CHYNA did not speak until finished with my blowout! i’ve had better shampoos at beauty schools!… The blow dry ended up passable…still damp underneath and like I did it myself! BUT THE WORST was the ticket! CLASSIC BLOWOUT”shampoo & conditioner with brush styling!!! I expected $27ish” CHYNA said $30 ok…I paid and handed over a$6 cash tip, because I just do. I go sit and look at the receipt..CHYNA charged $23 for the blowout But ADDED A BANG TRIM NO SHAMP” for $7. ITS NOT ABOUT THE $$! I went back and asked about the bang trim? was told the Classic Blowout does NOT COME WITH A SHAMPOO… but a cut DOES! chyna went back to the cell phone! I HOPE I CAN RALK TO A MANAGER TOMIRROW! Hair Cuttery team. - 5/15/22I scheduled an appointment to have my daughters hair done for prom. It’s a pretty simple hairstyle that was supposed to have lots of big curls. It wasn’t as curly as we wanted it to be but we were out of time so I paid. We left there to go to another location to take pictures. About 30 minutes had gone by and her hair was completely straight. I wasted $50. I had also requested a trim no wash no style just a trim for myself as I waited. The other stylist said that she did not have time because she was doing color for someone. We were there an hour and this lady who did not have time to do my hair was on her phone for 30 minutes of that hour while waiting for her clients hair to process. Couldn’t she have trimmed my hair? Both stylists complained every time the phone rang. They kept saying tell them we aren’t open. Hair Cuttery Team - 4/1/22Horrible and very loud. I will NOT be going back. Supposedly this was a manager that cut my hair too. Hair Cuttery Team. - 3/24/22I went a Hair Cuttery in Charlottesville and asked that they take off a couple of inches from my COVID hair. When I looked on the floor I saw 6 inch hanks of my hair and wondered what ruler the stylist was using. This time I went to Pauline at the Waynesboro store and being cautious from the last time I told her to take off an inch. When I looked on the floor, I saw about an inch of hair. It was a good cut and she listened to what I wanted. Hair Cuttery Team. - 2/16/22Took my son in for a haircut. One of the worst haircuts he’s ever gotten. I acknowledge that I requested the appointment online and said “any stylist” would suffice. I know it’s a crap shoot and you never know what you may end up with. I didn’t want to be rude when I went up to pay, but it was absolutely terrible. Hair cuttery team. - 11/29/21Clarice cut my 16 year old son’s hair today. When I called to make the appt I requested a master stylist and I was told they no longer classify their stylist in this manner so I requested an experienced stylist and she said the only two working this evening were experienced. She also remarked that since I requested an experienced stylist that my cost would be $26. I asked if I had not requested someone with experience would I have still been charged this fee and she stated , “no, this is just how they do things”. When my son was in the chair Clarice whom also booked my son’s appt chastised him when he asked my opinion of what guard to use on the sides of his hair. She asked his age and stated he’d be driving soon and should be able to decide for himself. Customer service is horrible these days and Clarice reaffirmed this. She was very passive aggressive from our booking until I paid and exited the establishment. As far as I am concerned- there are no other stylists! - 10/13/21My husband got a haircut from Dezzy and she nailed the mullet cut that he asked for!! It looks amazing and she definitely knew what she was doing. - 1/12/21I don’t know about the other girls employed but I can say DO NOT let the manager cut your hair. When I ask for my hair to be cut shoulder length it was cut :3 inches above the shoulder. Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I’m sure to everyone else she will blame the new girl but it wasn’t the new girl it was the manager. That’s who she said she was. I went in at 530 for cut amd highlights. She said it was A two hour wait. I went back at 710. At 750 I walked out with a horrible hair cut. She had her daughter there so I’m assuming she wanted to leave early. She needs to find another job so she won’t feel rushed with a child at work.
