I’ve been to this location a few times to get a shampoo, conditioner (Redkin), cut, blow dry and straighten. Each time I was charged the prices advertised online and the brochure, but today was different. As soon as I walked in and told the lady (first time I met her) at the desk what I wanted, I was told there was a package for people with my hair not advertised. It included everything I wanted but $20 more than the prices advertised in the store. I asked was this new as I had never been charged extra for the fact that my hair was black. She kept telling me that this was the package for people with my hair (while the manager Crystal stood by, looked on and agreed). Because my hair is not fine like your light-skinned customers, you want to charge me something different because you assumed (without even touching or talking to me about my hair) that my hair was some type of way. The lady gave me no other reason other than the fact that is was for people with my hair and I did not feel right about that. Everyone’s hair is different; that’s what they were born with. But to assume that all your black customers have the same type of hair and immediately charge them extra without doing your job by understanding the customers hair is not right! For the record, my hair isn’t extremely course or kinky as assumed.
